The green bottle fly (Lucilia sericata) is a housefly in most regions of the world. There are 10-14 mm long, slightly larger than the fly, and a bright metallic blue color, green or golden color with black markings. Has black hair like hair and three cross-grooves on the thorax. The wings are clear to light brown streaks, and legs and antennae are black.
